The Central Susquehanna Riverboat Society shared photos of the riverboat hull under construction at Delaware Bay Shipbuilding Company in Leesburg, NJ. The aluminum hull measures roughly 20 feet by 65 feet. The completed vessel will only displace around three feet of water and is expected to have a capacity of 100+ passengers. The hull will be transported to Northumberland as a single piece, then the cabin and pilot house will be constructed on site. The construction must meet numerous Coast Guard standards and will be inspected and tested prior to certification.
