Board members attended Sunbury’s Earth Day event to raise awareness of the organization and the progress it is making towards bringing a riverboat to Lake Augusta. The Central Susquehanna Riverboat Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of operating a paddlewheel riverboat to increase recreation, tourism, and economic development in the area while enhancing appreciation of and education on the history and ecology of the Susquehanna River and its community. The riverboat will feature educational cruises for individuals and groups to learn more about the history and ecology of the river. CSRS volunteers were on hand with merch, fundraiser raffles, and progress updates.
